Family Bible Quiz – 2024 – 2025

Date: 18th August 2024, Sunday

Venue: St. Mary’s Church, Ramamurthynagar; Time: 2.30 PM

Bible Portion: Judges 1 to 10; Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) 34-40; Luke 9-16; 2 Corinthians 7-13

General Rules & Regulations:

• A Maximum of 3 teams can participate from each Catechism Unit
• Each team should have at least one Catechism student (Std III to XII). Siblings can participate only if they are Catechism Students.
• Participation of both Father and Mother of the student is mandatory. If anyone of them is not participating due to any unavoidable reasons, the team should provide a letter from the Parish Priest in this regard
• Participants should report at the venue at least 30 minutes (2.00pm) prior to the scheduled time
• Teams are requested to bring pen and writing board. Answer sheets will be provided by the Center

Mode of FBQ

• NRSV (English) and POC (Malayalam) Bibles only are recommended for reference
• There will be two rounds for the FBQ. Preliminary & Final Round
• Preliminary Round
  • Mode of Quiz: Written
  • Duration: 40 Mins
  • Marks: 50
  • Language: Questions will be given in both Malayalam and English.
  • Participants can write in either Malayalam or in English.
  • Answers should be only written in the allotted places in the question paper.
  • Top 6 teams will qualify for the final round
• Final Round
  • Mode of Quiz: Audio Visual (Oral)
  • Number of Rounds: 5 to 7. The rounds (type of questions in each level) will be decided by the Quiz Master
  • Questions will be asked in both languages according to the convenience of the teams
  • If there is a tie in the top 3 spots, there will be a tie-breaking round.
  • The Top 6 Teams will be recognized at the Annual Award Ceremony of CBC Mandya
• Decision of the Quiz Master will be final in case of any discrepancies
